Differentiation of socio-economic development in the Vologda Oblast municipal entities in 1991 – 2011

The article analyses the differentiation (irregularity) of the socio-economic development in the Vologda Oblast municipal and urban districts for the 1991 – 2011 period. It defines the main reasons for considerable socio-economic differences in the oblast territories, and proposes solutions aimed at reducing the scale of inequality and overcoming negative consequences of this process
